An RG-59 coaxial cable has the following attenuation values: At 1MHz: 0.6 dB per 100 feet At 10MHz: 1.1 dB per 100 feet At 50MHz: 2.4 dB per 100 feet At 100MHz: 3.4 dB per 100 feet At 200MHz: 4.9 dB per 100 feet At 400MHz: 7.0 dB per 100 feet At 700MHz: 9.7 dB per 100 feet At 900MHz: 11.1 dB per 100 feet At 1GHz: 12.0 dB per 100 feet i) At each of the above frequencies, calculate the attenuation values at the following distances: a) 150 feet b) 200 feet c) 250 feet and d) 300 feet ii) Assume the passband of the cable is defined as the range of frequencies over which the attenuation offered by the cable is less than 15dB. Calculate the approximate bandwidth (width of the passband) of the cable at the following distances a) 150 feet b) 200 feet c) 250 feet and d) 300 feet. iii) What happens to the bandwidth of the cable with an increase in distance?
