An air conditioner is used to keep the interior of a house at a temperature of 20 C while the outside temperature is 35 C. If heat leaks into the house at the rate of 12 kW, and the air conditioner has the efficiency of a Carnot engine, what is the mechanical power required to keep the house cool?
