Based on the article by MacIntosh, make a list of at least 5 privileges that you have and the identity that it goes with-make sure that you are using categories of privilege and not sugar coating oppressed categories (in other words, I don't want to hear that it is a privilege to be a woman because men open doors for you).  Then explain why it is so important for people to acknowledge their privilege.  Would it have been easier to come up with a list of disadvantages-why/why not?  This is not a list of reasons you are "blessed" or "lucky," it is an academic inquiry into institutionalized privilege.
