Consider a cup of tea to be 250 mL of water starting at 25.0 °C and the drinking temperature to be 72 °C. Also, most microwave ovens emit microwaves that are absorbed by water molecules at a wavelength of about 12 cm. What is the energy required to heat up the water? What is the numerical amount of photons required to heat up the water? How many moles of photons is that? Density of water = 0.998 g/mL, water's heat capacity = 4.184 J/g*°C
