Amino acid bacterial peptidoglycan chemical structure

Assignment Help Biology
Reference no: EM132440068

A bacterial murein amino acid composition has been revealed: the Glu side chain Cγ-COOH forms a peptide bond with the Lys Cα-NH2 (the γ-carboxyl linkage of Glu to Lys); whereas the Lys side chain Cε-NH2 form a peptide with the Ala Cα-COOH (α-carboxyl linkage of Ala to the Lys ε-carbon side chain).

Ignore the D L configuration. Draw the tri-amino acid bacterial peptidoglycan chemical structure at pH 7, and circle all peptides.
