Ben is a 35-year-old single Hispanic male who is in a long-term relationship and he is self-referred. The patient reports intrusive thoughts and nightmares about being thrown off a roof. The symptoms followed an incident after being attacked by a gang, brought up to a roof and being threatened with being thrown off the roof after being robbed and viciously beaten. The attack started one month after the incident and he thought he was having a heart attack and went to the emergency room. He was diagnosed with panic attacks and was prescribed Xanax. He reports that the Xanax calmed him down however he does not wish to take this medication. He currently works as a truck driver. He has no past medical history and takes no medications Please provide further history that you would need from this patient. Follow what you would ask in an interview. Provide a baseline medical outline of testing such as labs or other testing that you may order Please provide a treatment plan for this patient that can include different herbal or vitamin-based therapies. This can include alternative medicines and treatments in any psychotherapy. Provide a pharmaceutical based therapy for this patient.
