10 kg of air in a piston-cylinder initially at 0.5 Mpa, 227 Celsius, undergoes two processes in series.

Process 1-2: constant temperature expansion to triple the volume.

Process 2-3: constant volume heating to the initial p = 0.5 MPa.

Sketch the processes on a p-v diagram. Assuming ideal gas behavior, determine (a) the pressure at state 2 in MPa, (b) the temperature of state 3 in Celsius, and (c) the work and heat transfer in KJ.
