Air enters a well-insulated nozzle with a pressure of 1000 kPa, a temperature of 527°C, and a velocity of 20 m/s. The area of the inlet is 0.01 m2. The pressure at the nozzle exit is measured to be 800 kPa. Assuming that the nozzle process is isentropic,

(a) Determine the exit temperature T2s (K) for the isentropic process.
(b) Determine the exit velocity V2s (m/s) for the isentropic process.
It is determined that the actual velocity 2 V at the nozzle exit is only 90% of the exit velocity V(2s) for the isentropic process.
(c) Determine the exit temperature T(2) (K) for the actual process.
(d) Calculate the isentropic efficiency of the nozzle.
(e) Find the rate of entropy production in (kW/K) in the nozzle.
