PSI, Controlled substance (Heroin): Daryl Keith Stilwell

The recommendation for sentencing that I would propose to the court for Mr. Stilwell would be that he serve time in a rehabilitation facility, as well as community service and prolonged probation to ensure that he does not relapse into using drugs again. If he does relapse, he should be imprisoned for a minimum of 10 years as previously suggested by the court. This imprisonment should only happen if he relapses because you cannot do drugs in prison and this sentence may help him stay clean for good. I think he should have a more lenient sentence as the one I suggested because he was very cooperative, and he acknowledged that he has a problem, and he needs help. His addiction is unfortunate and was never his fault to begin with if what he stated about wanting a stronger medicine after being in pain from an accident is true. Considering all things, his criminal record, his childhood etc. He should be able to receive the help that he is asking for without being imprisoned.

PSI: Child molestation: Christopher Gordon

The recommendation for sentencing that I would propose for Mr. Gordon is 20 years in custody and 10 years' probation as well as community service. This is a rather lenient sentence for the crimes that were outlined in Mr. Gordons case. There was no indication in his family background that he had been through anything like what he inflicted on his young victims. Although He had no other criminal history, crimes against women and children are considered especially heinous and there are consequences. It is also stated in the PSI that he had no remorse for any of the crimes against him and could not provide an explanation. When criminals have no remorse, it is a proven fact that they will reoffend and he could be a danger to others in the community. It is best that Mr. Gordon be imprisoned for his actions.
