"What are the differences between Agile and traditional waterfall software development cycle approaches? Is the Agile or traditional waterfall approach to software development better? Explain your answer. Use examples where possible There are multiple differences between Agile and the traditional waterfall development cycle- one of which being the timeline. The waterfall method has a set timeline (schedule), it is to start on a specific date and be completed by a specific date. Agile is a little more flexible and may be prolonged due to changes throughout the project lifecycle. Another major difference between the two is flexibility. Agile is much more flexible than waterfall, which correlates back to the timeline being extended. Agile has room for changes and attempting different approaches throughout the project where Waterfall does not, there is a specific process that has to happen with the Waterfall method and one phase cannot be completed without the completion of the other. One of the last major differences is also the budget- the Waterfall method has a fixed or specific budget it cannot pass where an Agile method project has room to wiggle with its budget and is comfortable spending the extra money for experimentation.
