Your final forum is to prepare a speech that would explain to all America why African American History from Reconstruction to the present should be taught. Explain why every American should know this history and propose how knowing specific parts of this history is essential for being a good citizen. You will be expected to use specific facts, events and people to demonstrate this. These facts, events, and people must come from your required work this term and from research in the library or from the course bibliography. In your speech, demonstrate the breadth of knowledge you have gained from this work (reading, lectures, interactive exercises, and your research).
