Provide a response to " In the year 2010 a new law was passed called the Affordable care Act (Obama Care). It affected every area of healthcare including nursing. it changed the way nurses were expected to perform their jobs, it required a need for higher education not only for those already in nursing but those entering it. With the available well-care and need for a primary physician the nurses found themselves being expected to increase their specialty to NP because their expertise and bed side manner allow patients to feel more comfortable with them in this role than an actual physician. (Nurses Journal Staff, 2023) By the year 2025 higher education requirements aim at a bachelor's degree or higher to be RN not an associate. My Aunt has been a nurse for over 40 years and was told she needed to get a degree online or retire from nursing. She became a nurse in a trade school setting, and practiced nursing for so many years already. It just shows how things had evolved over the years in nursing. With the need for higher education requirements more educators will also be needed also. The nursing theory that resonates with me.
