There's a couple who are in their 80's and have three adult children. One of the adult children is severely developmentally disabled, and has lived in a residential facility most of her life, which is now closing. This family has to figure out what to do to with their adult disabled daughter. Her siblings only really have contact with her for holidays and birthdays. The mother of this girl has dementia and the father is physically unwell. So it's up to the siblings to figure it out. The male sibling is willing to take her, but his adolescent daughters are worried that it might be too much stress on the family. The disabled daughter has grown up in a culture of a special unit of residential care because of her needs, and has not had a connection with her older brother, who is now faced with decisions about where she will live, within the context of a mother who is cognitively deteriorating. The disabled daughter wants to live in a new/different residential facility that is very expensive, and the family would have to pay alot out of pocket. Their mother is also in need of more help as well due to her dementia. One of the siblings does not want either person in a facility, but she isn't willing to take them into her house either
