Assessment - Oral Presentation
Task description:
Prepare and deliver an 8-minute oral presentation advocating for children's rights and the public good in a particular context of your choice. Include reference to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and other relevant literature in your answer.
Prepare a PowerPoint presentation and script. Students are required to do a recording of their presentation and submit this with their PowerPoint and script.
Criteria:
Choose a context of advocacy for children, explain the context (can be a specific issue or place), focus on early childhood education (ECE)
Choose two - three children's right to advocate, relevant to the contextualised ECE
Explain each children's rights with contextualised issues, using relevant empirical evidence from literature
Provide recommendations to accommodate and support children's rights, focus on contextualised issues
Use relevant academic readings (including the set text) to support your presentation, references should be included in the presentation.
The presentation should be recorded, with a link to the recorded presentation included in the submission.
