Question: Sim Tong and his with entrepreneurial mindset wanted to invest their life savings purchasing 15 acres of land. Kim Lai, property broker came to know that they were looking to purchase a land for landscape, and tourist agriculture farm. Kim Lai took them to view the land and he make representation that the land was fertile, river nearby supply water for farming. Recently, local government had studied the feasibility of claiming the land for hot balloon carnival to attract tourist. Having purchased the land, Sim Tong and his wife were disgruntled and disappointed that river was diverted by local farmers residing nearby and they received notice by the State government of acquiring two acres of land.
