Problem: Your friend who works in ?nancial investment company comes to you with a problem. She is interested in estimating some parameter α from her data (which has sample size n = 350). She managed to come up with an estimate ˆ α, but her boss asked for a 90% con?dence interval for α as well. When you ask for details, she refuses to give you any more details as the model is a proprietary one.
