Question

Consider a College of Business faculty member within a university as embedded within a matrix organization. The faculty member is a member of the Finance Department and also contributes to teaching in the MBA Program and thus must work with the Finance department head, the director of the MBA Program, and the dean of the College of Business.

Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of this matrix structure.
