A physical therapist tells you they have started to recently notice that during PT sessions, a group of patients taken care of by the same RN seems to be having more uncontrolled pain. When the PT asked the patients if they took their prescribed pain medication, they all said the RN told them they need to take less pain medication if they are ever going to get better. The PT also reports that they saw the same RN slipping pills into their pocket while giving out medications to clients. You do some investigation and confirm that patients are not receiving all the pain medication they are prescribed, even though the RN is charting that they are.
