Write a 1,200-1,500-word essay that addresses effective communication to the cultural challenges facing contemporary churches.

Part 1

1. Identify major challenges facing the contemporary church. While you should give attention to global challenges facing the universal church (persecution, for example), you should also give specific attention to your faith tradition and your current ministry setting.

2. In addition to stating these challenges, be sure to assess the implications of these challenges for ministry.

Part 2

Using the specific challenges, you have selected for your faith tradition and your specific ministry setting, survey the skills necessary for communicating the gospel effectively as described in the lecture and reading materials.

1. Determine and offer support for which model best represents your approach.

2. Contrast your model with the others (there are 5 total).

3. Defend how your model best communicates the gospel to the challenges you have selected.

In addition to using at least two of the course materials, you should also reference the Bible, and at least two other scholarly sources.
