Project "Online Library Management System"
Assessment 1 - Detailed Systems Design Report
Objective(s)
This assessment item relates to the unit learning outcomes as in the unit descriptor. This assessment is designed to improve student Planning skills and to give students experience in researching a topic and creating a plan for the project.
For this component you will be required to address the Detailed Systems Design of your project. This Assessment is the continuation of what you have done in project 1 Assessment 4.
Please extend your existing report (Project 1 Assessment 4) with more details about network architecture/ Architectural Diagram, Project flow chart, ER Diagram/Protocol and Technologies that you have used in the project.
The report must follow the template provided on the LMS. Citation of sources is mandatory and must be in the IEEE style.
Discussion and participation:
a. Are made in a timely fashion, giving others an opportunity to respond.
b. Are thoughtful and analyse the content or question asked.
c. Pose new possibilities or opinions not previously voiced
d. Are ideas expressed clearly, concisely. Uses appropriate vocabulary. Is attentive to spelling and grammar.
e. Spend the time to construct creative, challenging and engaging discussions, which promote participation.
Assessment 1 (Part 2): Implementation Report
This assessment item relates to the unit learning outcomes specified in the unit descriptor. This assessment is designed to assess students on how they adopt a systematic approach to produce a quality system and use their problem-solving skills to solve issues and manage risks during the implementation of a project.
In this component you need to write a report about the implementation of your project. The implementation should be based on the system design report that you have submitted earlier as Assessment 1. In this Assessment, you will be implementing a prototype of a system that you have already designed and configure the protocols and technologies that you have proposed in your first report.
In the implementation report, you must include the following items in detail:
• The step-by-step explanation of how you have configured your system and all the related protocols and technologies
• Screenshots of the commands and codes that you've used for configuration
• The issues and risks that you have faced during the implementation and how you have addressed them
The report must follow the template provided on the LMS. Please note that citation of sources is mandatory and must be in the IEEE style.
Assessment 1 (Part 3): Testing Report
Objective(s):
This assessment item relates to the unit learning outcomes as in the unit descriptor. This assessment is designed to improve student Planning skills and to give students experience in researching a topic and creating a plan for the project.
In the testing report, you must include the following items in detail:
• Expected output from the implementation
o In this section, you will discuss briefly about the expected output from the implementation.
• Testing criteria
o In this section, you will discuss about the testing criteria you have considered to verify the success of your project.
o Step by step explanation of how you have tested your system (you can use screenshots as the evidence).
• Results
o In this section, you will provide and explain the screenshots of the result you have received in the project.
• Conclusion
o Conclude with your opinion about the results.
Assessment 1 (Part 4): User Documentation
Objective(s):
This assessment item relates to the unit learning outcomes specified in the unit descriptor. This assessment is designed to assess students on how they adopt a systematic approach to produce a quality system and use their problem-solving skills to solve issues and manage risks during the implementation of a project.
In this component you need to prepare a user documentation for your project. The user documentation should be based on the system that you have designed and implemented earlier. In this Assessment, you will be describing how your prototype operates. Your user document should be easy to understand and not confusing for the end user.
In the user documentation, you must include the following items in detail:
• Features of your prototype
• How to use the prototype that you have implemented
• How to resolve common problems with your prototype
