According to Parkay (2019), teachers need four kinds of knowledge: knowledge of self and the students, knowledge of the subject matter, knowledge of educational theory and research, and knowledge of how to integrate technology into teaching. If Parkay (2019) is accurate in his assertion, then how well do you think our teachers are doing today? Please pull from your personal experience as a student or maybe you have a child currently in school. Try to be as specific as possible in elaborating. Furthermore, in many counties, teacher salary is dependent on time in service, so regardless of exhibiting these four kinds of knowledge, they get equal pay.
