Description

Imagine that you are working for a charity that you feel passionate about. This must be a registered charity like Covenant House, Plan Canada, etc. Your boss has asked you to send out an email as part of a fundraising campaign to donors, asking them for money. Perhaps you have a fundraising goal in mind? Choose a charity and research on their website the kinds of fundraising initiatives they have going on right now. Choose one of those initiatives. Using this information, submit a direct, persuasive email to a member asking them to donate money. Remember to connect with your audience, find a need within that will encourage them to donate, counter some possible objections they might have, and give them a strong call to action at the end.

Formatting

At the top of the email, make sure to list your email address, and the email address of the person you are sending it to. As well, include the date and the subject line. Use a standard font like Arial or Calibri. Remember to avoid indents, single space your writing, and put a single blank line between paragraphs.
