Q1. You're appointed as HR manager for a multi-national organization where labor unions have had a strong influence in the past. By the time you take up the new role, your organization is considering downsizing in order to bring down cost and give additional roles to the surviving employees. Your job is to oversee the downsizing & job enhancement implementation across Pakistan region.

(a). What threats labor union will pose to downsizing and, in your opinion, how should it be eliminated?

(b). How will you manage the downsizing process in such a way that the reputation of the organization as well as the well-being of the employees is not compromised?

(c). In your opinion, will downsizing and job enhancement boost the morale of the remaining employees or will it have a negative impact. Please give reasons/arguments to support your answer.
