1. Select/suggest an appropriate topic of interest.
2. Prepare and submit a 3-5 page final report (double-column, by following the standard IEEE journal paper format). You can submit your report earlier, but there will be no extensions and late submissions will not be accepted.
3. Give an 8-minute presentation (6 minutes for presentation of the problem, the background, the approach, and the results; 2 minute for Q&A) in front of the class about your topic through slides and/or demo. (Detailed presentation schedule will be given before May.)
80% of the project grade is on the quality of your written report. And another 20% will be given based on your presentation.

What is the molarity of the ba(oh)2 solution
: A 0.107 M HCl solution is used to titrate a solution of Ba(OH)2. It was found that 37.6 mL Ba(OH)2 was titrated by 43.8 mL HCl. What is the molarity of the Ba(OH)2 solution?)

Describe the type of osmosis expected to take place
: If a 1.0 starch solution is surrounded by a semipermeable membrane and then immersed in a 0.055 starch solution, is the outer solution considered isotonic, hypotonic, or hypertonic? Describe the type of osmosis expected to take place.

Define the acetyl group in acetyl coa
: What are the fewest numbers of turns of the citric acid cycle needed before the carbon radioactive in both carbons of the acetyl group in acetyl CoA are incorporated into all 4 carbons in every molecule of oxaloacetate produced?

Calculate the entropy change for the system
: The heat released indicates an enthalpy change of -251 kJ/mol (-60 kcal/mol). For this process, calculate the entropy change for the system and the entropy change for the surroundings.
