1. Globalization has taken the world by storm. Agreements such as EU and CUSMA (Previously known as NAFTA) it makes it easier for corporations to leverage world economic resources to make the most budget friendly decision for their operation. Walmart as one of the leading corporations in globalization practice has leveraged these FTA's (Free Trade Agreement) to build a global presence. Unfortunately, Walmart were not able to enter all market with ease, the case of Walmart's struggle in Germany is evident of this.

Walmart had a mismanagement of cultural diversity and adaptation of inappropriate leadership style. Believing that you can plug play the same model from the United States to another nation is inaccurate as well negatively impacting your corporate image. Globalization theories usually imply all countries adapting to one best practice but unfortunately Walmart in Germany did not share the same results.

Walmart should have invested in a strong management model and transformational leadership training to adjust to change management. The management model will address the cultural diversity and assisting mangers in defining policies that will successfully overcome the problems of different national cultures building a more team atmosphere. Transformational Leadership is when leaders inspire followers to transcend their own self interests and have an extraordinary effect on followers.
