Nursing DX and Meds of POST-PARTUM CESAREAN DELIVERY PATIENT

Nursing Diagnosis :

1.Acute pain Related to Surgical incisions secondary to Cesarean delivery As Evidenced By Mother reports of pain six out of 10 on the numerical rating scale; 2) Mother states, "I feel a burning sensation in my abdominal area"; 3) facial grimacing; 4) guarding of the abdominal area

2. Ineffective breast-feeding Related to Knowledge deficit and limited experience of the mother As Evidenced By 1) Mother states, "I don't think I am breast-feeding the right way." 2) Mother states, "the baby doesn't seem to be getting a good connection."; 3) Mother reports the infant doesn't stay on the breast for long; 4) Mother reports the infant is fussy soon after feeding; 5) Mother states, "I don't think I'm making enough milk for her."

3. Anxiety Related to Ineffective infant feeding pattern As Evidenced By 1) Mother reports feeling anxious regarding breastfeeding; 2) Mother reports insomnia; 3) Mother displays facial grimacing; 4) restlessness.
