Based on what we discussed in class, what is the difference between SHRM's leadership competency model and Actuant's leadership competency model? SHRM's leadership competency model is proven, "tried and true" while Actuant's leadership competency is merely based on the perspective of one firm. SHRM's leadership competency model is basically a generic set of domestic leadership competencies while Actuant's leadership competency is a more global set of leadership competencies. SHRM's leadership competency model is basically a generic set of leadership competencies while Actuant's leadership competency is "fit for purpose" based on the realities of the organization. SHRM's leadership competency model is based on an exhaustive study of the most relevant leadership competencies today while Actuant's leadership competency is too "one dimensional."
