Question
Explain how two of the arguments that we read this week "Famine, Affluence, and Morality" and "Active and Passive Euthanasia "use the elements of argumentation that we have covered so far in the course. Some examples of concepts you might discuss include: do they use ethos, pathos, or logos, and to what extent?; Are they inductive or deductive and why?; are they valid or sound, and why/why not?; how/where do they use facts/judgments? etc. In your analysis, be sure to remain objective. Some of these arguments deal with controversial issues, but remember that we are not explaining whether we like the argument or not, but instead are objectively analyzing how they use the elements listed above in their arguments.
