Choose an interest group that affects health policy. It could be one that you are familiar with, or to which you belong. It may be a health-related organization, such as a healthcare provider (hospital, long-term care facility, etc.), an organization representing health-related professionals, an insurance company, or healthcare regulatory body. Alternatively, it may be a consumer-related organization with interests in healthcare and health policy, such as AARP or NAACP. Select such an organization and answer the following questions:

1. What are the group's objectives with regard to health policy (what does it want to accomplish)?

2. How does it attempt to accomplish those objectives?

3. Does it try to influence health policy at the local, state, and/or national level?

4. How successful do you feel it has been in accomplishing its objectives and influencing health policy?
