In the experiment on "Newton's second law of motion", two 70 gms pans were used. A mass of 1 gram was added to the first pan which was used to overcome friction on the 90 gms pulley. Then, an additional mass of 10 grams was added to the first pan. The system was then allowed to descend 100 cm and the average time was recorded to be 1.97 seconds.

Determine:

a) The acceleration of the system using the equation on linear motion.

b) The acceleration of the system using Newton's second law of motion.

c) The percentage difference.
