You are about to leave from work and get a call from Kumar informing you of a situation. He is unable to make it in time to open access to the server room in his shift. All the client data and important info is based out of this area. This is very limited and protected access that has been provided exclusively for both of you based on your role criticality. Kumar says his situation is unavoidable, he indicates to you that you will have to handle the beginning of his shift too. You have planned all day to leave on time because you have a very important doctor's appointment. This is a doctor who is very senior and you have waited more than 6 months to get this appointment. You feel very agitated because Kumar does not disclose his full situation to you, and you feel he sounds very casual and is taking it easy. You also feel that you will pay a price for no fault of yours. If you leave without waiting for Kumar - the team will not be operational, and it will be counted as a downtime for your client. This will become a major escalation.
