This is a legal and ethical violation. The hospital should have intervened and prevented the femoral arteriogram from being performed. The hospital should have been aware of the risks of the procedure and should have intervened to protect the patient. The hospital failed to do so and as a result, the patient died. This is a legal and ethical violation.
