The Iraq War

Now that US troops have exited Iraq, it is time to assess the overall effectiveness of the war as well as try to predict what the future will hold for both Iraq and US interests in the Middle East. For this assignment, you will need to address three aspects of the conflict:
For what reasons did the US go to war with Iraq? Was the use of military force by the US and its allies justified, or was this conflict waged illegally, in regard to international law?

What was the primary lesson learned from this conflict on fighting insurgents?

What will the ramifications of this war be for both Iraq and the United States? Will Iraq become a more stable and democratic country, or is it worse off than before the invasion? Did the US enhance its reputation in the Middle East, or did the military action cause a decrease in our influence in the region?

The paper must be at least three pages in length (excluding the title and reference pages) and formatted according to APA style. You must use at least one scholarly source, which can be found in the Ashford Online Library, and the textbook to support your points.
