Answer these questions about the history of the Mexican American civil rights movement - Did they win? Examine when they started, what they did, and where they are now. Be critical and truthful Was it worth it? Compare and contrast the evolution and progression of other Ethnic groups to the Chicano people. Explore how they have or have not been supported by other Ethnic groups, the community, the nation, and the powers that be, including themselves. Did they change their communities? Look at the state of their communities and people. Where would you find a space and place or community you can call Chicana/Chicano like one could with an Asian American community, African American/Black American Community, and other ethnic enclaves? Don't neglect that the Chicano people are of majority Mexican descent but are entirely different from Mexican immigrants/citizens. Do these places still exist, or have other internal and external factors changed this? Do they matter to themselves, others, the nation, and you?
