John McWhorter talks about how the anti-racist movement has gone too far and is no longer helpful for African Americans. He talks about how much of the movement is centered on thoughts and feelings (with a primary focus on making people feel guilty/bad about the plight of African Americans). This focus interferes with thinking more concretely about real actions that could actually help African Americans presently. Developing and implementing sensible social policies focused on action is one thing that he believes could help African Americans that may need assistance. What do you think about his viewpoint?
