Scenario:

Your director has noticed that many teachers at your preschool are anxious about having children with disabilities in their classrooms. However, you, the preschool teacher for the three- and four-year-olds, are not. When the director shared her observation with you, you explained that you've learned lots of facts and teaching strategies for different disabilities in two of your college classes. She thinks it would help alleviate the other teachers' worries if they also had some basic facts about disabilities. She has asked you to prepare two handouts summarizing the characteristics of two disabilities so you can share your knowledge at the upcoming staff training.

Choose two disabilities, then create summary handouts for your upcoming staff training that describe the basic facts and characteristics for each disability. Include a one-paragraph rationale describing why you specifically chose these two different disabilities based on the types of disabilities you expect to see most often at your school.
