Due to a change in regulations that came about during the last political election, your company, BMW Group International, in an effort to manage production costs and sustain the financial gains it has made over the past five years, has made the decision to close and relocate one of its largest manufacturing plants from Munich, Germany to Johannesburg, South Africa. BMW Group International hopes to duplicate the success that its Rosslyn Plant in Pretoria, South Africa has had. Out of the 2,000 people currently employed at the Munich plant, only 500 will be offered the opportunity to relocate to South Africa where they will continue with their current position. The remaining positions will be terminated in an effort to recoup from the cost of relocation and preparation of new hires in South Africa. As the Communications Director, it is your job to figure out the best way to notify all stakeholders of this event in the form of a formal internal memo.
