1. Find a job posting for a potential career interest (must be leadership, management, or supervisorial-focused). Examples of job posting sites you can use include LinkedIn, CareerBuilder, Indeed, or ZipRecruiter.
2. Based on what you learned in this module about the differences between management and leadership, create a list of management functions and leadership skills/characteristics/traits required for the job (clearly delineating what are leadership or management).
3. For each skill/characteristic/trait required, list some ways you can demonstrate each requirement in the workplace (either prior to or on the job). For example, I can demonstrate my communication skills via an email (written), cover letter(written), interview (verbal/non-verbal), sharing experiences/examples where I have been effective as a communicator (written or verbal).
4. List tools you can use or would like to use to demonstrate each skill in this course. For example, I could create a video using YouTube to demonstrate my verbal communication skills, or I could make a proposal in Canvas to demonstrate my organizational skills, or I could create a presentation in PowerPoint to demonstrate my presentation and communication skills.
