Chapter 5: Discussion
The purpose of this chapter is not just to reiterate what you found but rather to discuss what your findings mean in relation to the theoretical body of knowledge on the topic and your profession. Typically, students skimp on this chapter even though it may be the most important one because it answers the "So what?" question. In other words, I want you to pretend that I know nothing about your research and topic/problem, and that we're going to discuss your findings of your research as it relates to your problem/possible solution. Please answer the following questions:
1. What do your findings suggest about the business field of study? One way to answer this question is to answer the following question: Will your findings change an aspect of business? Why or Why not?
2. What do your findings suggest about a business career or role? Will your findings change a specific role in business? Why or Why not?
3. Do your findings introduce any new research that needs to continue, or do you believe your research presents a potential solution to the problem you presented, and no further research is necessary? Why or Why not?
