A Stirling engine works on a cycle consisting ofthe following four internally reversible processes

1-2 Constant temperature expansion from 0.500 m^3 to 2.500 m^3 and 100 kPa T=1000k

2-3 Constant volume regeneration

3-4 Constant temperature compression back to 0.500 m3 T=300K

4-1 Constant volume regeneration

Assume the working fluid to be Air as an ideal gas and determine:

a. the mass of the fluid.

c. the heat transferred in each process

d. the thermal efficiency of the cycle.

e. the mean effective pressure.

f. the second law efficiency (the ratio of the cycle efficiency to the Carnot efficiency)
