A statistical advisor was retained by a linen supplier to examine a survey of hospital purchasing managers. After observing at the data, she understood that the survey had missed several key geographic areas besides included some that were outside the target region. Several survey questions were ambiguous. Some respondents unsuccessful to answer all the questions or gave silly replies (one manager said he worked forty hours a day). Of the 1,000 surveys mailed only eighty were returned. Given this info, response the subsequent questions-

1) What alternatives are available to the researcher?

2) Might an imperfect analysis be better than none?

3) If you were the consultant, how might you respond to the supplier?

4) Analyze data by the rules of probability
