You are to write a semi-formal progress report on your achievement in this course. You must follow the plan below:

• Use fig. 7.3 as a format guide
• Use your own name and your registering college/ program as the return address.
• Include the date
• Each of these headings must be used:
  • Summary (summarizes recommendations/conclusions in one sentence)
  • Introduction (your academic background and reason(s) for taking the course)
  • Discussion(two parts: quizzes and assignments)
    • Quizzes: include a single-paragraph description of your success with the quizzes. As Appendix A, you must create a bar graph that charts all ten quizzes and your scores for each.
    • Assignments: include a single-paragraph description of your success with the three preceding assignments. As Appendix B, you must create table that lists, in three columns, the assignment, your score, and a brief comment about the usefulness of this assignment.
  • Conclusion (in a three or four sentence paragraph, comment on your achievement in the course as a whole-identify any weak areas)
  • Recommendations (list two or three concrete actions you will take to improve your technical communications, especially any weak areas identified in the previous section)
  • References (see page 200 in text):
    • The textbook as a whole
    • Chapter 7 (as a chapter in an edited book)
    • One website (must concern technical writing)
  • Appendices:
    • Appendix A-bar graph of quizzes
    • Appendix B-table of assignments
    • Appendix C-PowerPoint slides (Imagine that you have been asked to present this report orally: create a four or five slide presentation that would help you guide an audience through a presentation of this report. Do not clutter up your slides with too much text-each slide should have a heading and no more than a single sentence that summarizes the section.)

Grading: one mark will be deducted for each mechanical error or for any instance in which the report is unclear or incomplete.
