A rocket fired vertically was observed to have a constant upward acceleration of 2g during the burning of the rocket motor, which lasted for 50 seconds. Afterthe initial burn, the rocket coasts influenced only by gravity, eventually free-falling to Earth.Neglecting air resistance and variation of g with altitude,
