A rigid container is separated into 2 compartments by a very thin solid membrane. One side initially holds 2 m^3 of air at 27C and 0.3 MPa. The other side is initially evacuated and has volume of 3 m^3. At some point, due to transfer of 697 kJ of heat from the surrounding to the first compartment, air pressure increases and results in mechanical failure and opening of the membrane, allowing the air to occupy the full volume of the container.

Determine the following:

1. Draw the schematic and define the system used for analysis

2. Mass of the air

3. The final temperature of the air after the membrane rupture

4. The final pressure of the air after the membrane rupture

5. Work performed by air on the surroundings outside the container
