writing a research paper on Jim Jones for my English in Film composition course.....I have the Introduction and Thesis but I am stuck on what to write continuing with the paper....it needs to be 5 pages long so I'm unsure how to stretch it that long

Jonestown: The Life and Death of Peoples Temple

In the documentary film Jonestown: The Life and Death of Peoples Temple (Nelson 2006), the director helps to tell the story of the unforgettable movement that happened in Guyana Jonestown. Jim Jones an infamous preacher leads nine hundred and nine people to committing a mass suicide. The film is a documentary, therefore portraying the story through nonfiction based information, to be able to keep history alive through knowledge and understanding of the past. This documentary film Jonestown: The Life and Death of Peoples Temple effectively uses many different resources to provide facts to be able to tell the story about what happened in Jonestown, as well as how Jones led his followers to their demise.

 

The film uses recordings of Jim Jones speeches....Uses childhood friends as well as members of the people's temple of Jim Jones to speak on events that occurred during his childhood as well as during his movement.....Uses actual film of speeches by Jim Jones.....Photos of Jim Jones....notes from members ....newspaper articles

 

Main Focus is -----A study of the genre style of documentaries and an evaluation of how the text is an example of that genre.
