A particle with mass 2.30 g and charge +10.0 C enters through a small hole in a metal plate with a speed of 8.50 m/s at an angle of 55° . The uniform field in the region above the plate has magnitude 6.5x 10^3 N/C and is directed downward. The region above the metal plate is essentially a vacuum, so there is no air resistance.

  • How far will the particle travel, x, before it hits the metal plate?
