A journalist was interested in college students' knowledge of current events. The journalist compared a large group of college students to the general public using a questionnaire about recent items in the news. In this study, she tested large numbers of people and had a very high level of power. No significant result was found, and the null hypothesis was not rejected. What should you conclude about the current events knowledge of college students in comparison to the general public? And why? Write your answer to a person who is familiar with the basic logic of hypothesis testing, but knows nothing about power. Keep your answer to two or three sentences.
