A diploid plant has a nuclear gene, named Yellow (Y) required for photosynthesis. When the Y gene is mutated, the mutants cannot photosynthesis and are yellow. The WT allele Y is dominant to the mutant allele (y). what are the phenotype and genotypes of the WT, heterozygous and mutant plants?
