A 0.5kg block at rest on a table is attached to a horizontal spring with a spring constant k=200 N/m. The spring is initially unstretched. A constant horizontal force of 20 N is applied to the block and stretches the spring.

A) Find the maximum stretch of the spring.

B) When the spring is at it's maximum stretch, the applied force is removed and the block starts moving toward the equilibrium position. Find the angular frequency, period, and frequency of vibration for the block spring system.

C) Find the magnitude of the acceleration of the block when it is at position x = 0.02m from the equilibrium.

D) Calculate the maximum velocity of the block spring system

E) Calculate the total energy of the block spring system

F) At what position are the kinetic energy and the total potential energy of the spring block system equal?
