What is public interest litigation? With reference to two or more developing countries, discuss the extent to which public interest litigation has - and may continue to - contribute to the provision of safe and affordable shelter and/ or environmentally unto and healthy living environments in developing countries. Include in your answer an evaluation of the strengths and shortcomings of public interest litigation.

What is the human right to housing? What is the origin of this right and what does It entail? To what extent has the United Nations (UN) Human Settlements Program succeeded in making this right a reality for people in two or more countries? In your answer, consider the role of the UN Human Settlements Program in advancing the human right to housing, including the strengths, weaknesses. advantages and disadvantages of involving an international United Nations body in the provision of shelter in individual nation-states.
